A story of rhythm, accountability, and how a tiny commitment became a global sanctuary.
When I came back from my retreat in Orlando—October 2024—I felt unstoppable.
I was fully committed to changing my life.
I was organized.
I was on fire.
I created my own meditation schedule.
I printed it out, added boxes to tick off every day.
I even put stickers on it to make it cute—something in me believed that if I made it beautiful, I’d stay motivated longer.
And for a while, it worked.
I planned my meditations at the start of each week.
I set intentions. I followed my rhythm.
I was doing it.
But then… life happened.
The Crash Always Comes Quietly
At first, I just felt tired.
Then a bad night of sleep.
Then a stressful situation.
Then my cycle came.
Then a fight, or a wave of sadness, or my son needed me.
And slowly, that perfect plan started slipping through the cracks.
That’s what people don’t talk about enough.
We think we’ll come back from these events as a new person.
And in many ways, we do.
But that new version still lives in the same body, in the same house, with the same responsibilities.
And suddenly, all those tools you felt so committed to become… optional.
A Little Spark: Just Me and Jefi
Around that time, I was speaking a lot with Jefi—a woman I met at the retreat (that now I call friend).
We were in the same meditation group, and after the event, that group continued online, meditating together every day.
But here’s the problem: the group was U.S.-based.
And as many people know, the majority at Joe’s events are from the U.S.
Their schedule just didn’t fit mine.
It was either at 3 AM (when I was sleeping) or at 3 PM (when I had a toddler and work to juggle).
No matter how much I wanted to stay in that frequency, the rhythm just didn’t work.
So one day I said to Jefi,
“What if we just do it together? Just the two of us. At a time that works for us.”
And that’s how it started.
No grand vision.
Just two women, wanting to stay committed.
Two people saying, “If we can just count on each other, maybe we’ll stay on track.”
Then Vincent Joined… and the Energy Shifted
Of course, Vincent was immediately in.
He was the one who brought me into Joe’s work in the first place.
And he had been meditating for years already.
He loved the idea—not just for himself, but for all of us.
And pretty quickly, he started customizing the meditations.
He took Dr. Joe’s audios and made them more coherent for our group.
Added breathwork, layered sound files, and created a smoother experience.
Honestly, it was like watching him DJ again—but now for people’s nervous systems.
He brought his own skills and turned them into something sacred.
And suddenly, this wasn’t just “our little group” anymore.
It became something alive.
From Two to Four Hundred
We said: “If anyone wants to join, they can. If not, no pressure.”
But people did join.
And they kept joining.
And the beautiful thing is: we never pushed it.
We never promoted it.
We just stayed committed.
And now, as I write this—less than a year later—our little EU time-zone group has become a full-blown meditation community with more than 400 people.
It’s grown entirely by word of mouth.
Just people inviting people who get it.
People who’ve been cracked open by an experience—and don’t want to forget who they became.
It Became Our Anchor
This community is no longer just something we do.
It’s something that holds us.
When I wake up and don’t want to meditate… I still show up.
When I feel low… I still show up.
Because it’s no longer about me—it’s about us.
That commitment to others has become my biggest source of personal alignment.
It’s the gym buddy effect.
When you know someone’s waiting for you at the door, you don’t skip leg day.
You get dressed. You go.
This is that—just for the soul.
And So I’ll Say This…
You don’t need to start a global community.
You don’t need a fancy meditation mat or a perfect schedule.
But you do need rhythm.
And accountability.
And love.
Whether that’s a friend, a WhatsApp group, or just your own printed sticker sheet—
find what helps you stay committed to the new you.
Because this work is beautiful in the beginning.
But it becomes sacred in the repetition.
And if you’re reading this thinking,
I want that too…
You’re welcome to join us.
